Blog post as Karen Kotopoulis. Wow. Five days to go! I can't believe that a year's worth of planning and being engaged is coming to an end this weekend. I never knew all that went into a wedding and I would be lying if I said it was a piece of cake (with extra frosting). But I think I'm actually in a good spot. I have a ton of little things to do today and tomorrow but all in all, the big things are done. I'm off from work for 2 weeks (yippee) and I'm just ready to marry the man of my dreams (double yippee).
We had a great girls pow-wow yesterday getting the programs done, organizing some other details, and having a few laughs. One of my biggest concerns was finding something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. I finally got it all squared away a few weeks ago....and even got a little extra blue yesterday - thanks Aunt Pegs! :-)
I know everyone is expecting some sort of surprise or big event, but honestly my idea with the whoopie cushions as seating cards just wasn't "classy" enough. Oh well! :-) I would mention a few things that are very much "Karen and Larry" but I think they'll be easy to spot without needing to look very hard. We really want the day to simply be fun for everyone and I think that's what is going to happen!
I'm trying to sum up everything and it's not so easy. I guess the less blogging I do, the harder it is to get back into it. And I do have a lot on my mind. But at the very least, I will say that I keep getting the most emotional when I realize how many people are coming from all over to celebrate with us on our special day. It means to the world to me and the FH (almost just the H). I just can't put it all together yet...people from Florida, Colorado, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Greece, and more places. It's incredible to me and to have everyone that close to us under one roof just makes me speechless.
So if I don't post again before the Big Day, I hope you all know just how excited we are to have you there. I need to thank my parents for everything along the way too - you've been more than helpful and the FH and I appreciate everything. We're going to have a blast on Saturday....please remember your dancing shoes! :-)
Always and Forever,
Karen K. :-)
