Good News!

Well, my hardwork is starting to pay off....not necessarily in my pocket, but definitely in the company's. I have a goal in dollars to aim for each month. I am always coming up just short of it. To the point I'd really rather only sell 99 cents worth of food. But finally this month I thought I'd get to that point. And then I looked and my goal was a little higher this month. What's up with that??? But, the good news is...I reached it! The higher one! Yay! I won't get too excited because I still have a long way to go to get where I really want to be, but it's so nice to see the steps I'm taking are working!!

I've had a pretty hectic week, but after recovering from OysterFest, it's been good. I've seen a ton of chefs and finally saw my friend Brian. He's an amazing chef who was in New York all summer long cooking for people like Bobby Flay and Bill Gates. He loves my products and showed me some of the stuff he was creating with it all in his kitchen yesterday. He amazed me with my new Himalayan Salt Bricks. They're five pounds each and he cuts them up into slices, puts them in their wood oven so they get to 500 degrees, and then he sears a piece of meat on them tableside! How cool is that??? I can't wait to go there for dinner. He's just great...word on the street is that I'll be helping him with an event hosted by the Schilling's in December. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

So I won't get into too many details, but here's some pics from my week! I'll start with this one of Kevin, Lisa, and Me at OysterFest. We were actually waiting in line for burgers at this point. The oysters were great, but I needed a little more substance to go with the beer...

On Monday, Ellie was really sick. She needed all new brakes. I knew she was sick on Sunday when she was making awful noises like she had a sore throat. So she went in for some serious surgery on Monday but was done in the afternoon. She did really well so I got her a little gift...a new airfreshener. Just gotta remember to tie it on her...

Tuesday morning I got up and met the truck to help with deliveries. The truck actually goes right near my new place so instead of me driving, he picked me up and I rode with him for 5 hours. It was really good to see how my driver's day goes. I helped with the deliveries and of course...snapped some pics.

This is from one of my Italian stops...lots of tomatoes. This is actually one of our most popular products.

This is a brand of pasta that you can actually buy in SuperMarkets. Imported from Italy and pretty expensive...if you're used to paying 99 cents for a box of spaghetti.

And here's the back of the truck after we moved everything for this stop. It made me happy to see because the first few of their deliveries were pretty small. But now look at all the good stuff they get!!!

Ok, those weren't THAT exciting, but since I got to see a day in the life of my truck driver, I thought I'd share. I'm hoping to have some new ones after tonight. The Newport Food & Wine Festival kicks off tonight with an exclusive dinner at one of the Mansions there and yours truly will be there!! I'm so excited! Gotta get through work and then get ready to go. I'm meating Rick from the farm in Maine there an I haven't seen him in a while so it will be nice to catch up. Mmmmm Pineland Burgers!! I'll leave you with this great shot of me and Lisa on the beach at OysterFest.

I hope everyone eats something yummy today!!!

Chow,

KK
