It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like....

Christmas!!!!! I always get so into the holidays right after Thanksgiving. I can finally listen to Christmas music, wrap presents, bake cookies, and just enjoy the season! I'm trying to get most of my shopping done by this weekend so that I can focus on relaxing and watching more Christmas movies. I haven't had a chance to pop one in yet because I've been having too much fun and working too hard! But I do have a tree.

I remember when I first moved away from home. Not for college, but for the real world. I honestly can say I won't forget the moment in my studio apartment above Peter Christian's restaurant in New London. I stared out the window as Mom and Dad drove away and thought, "Holy crap, what do I do now?" And then I did groceries.

I'm relating the first time doing groceries for yourself to the first time you buy a Christmas tree by yourself, for your very own big-girl apartment. I've had a lot of boy trees in the past and this year I really wanted a girl. I've got to say...she's beautiful! Her name is Lucy and you can't see pictures until she's officially done. I had a great star for her, but ummm...it's too heavy for her head. But she'll be ready by the end of the week!

I'm also hoping to have Karen's famous Christmas cards received by the end of the week. Thanks to Melissa for coming over Friday night to do the photo shoot! I think it's going to be a great card this year. I even wrote a poem for it...that rhymes! You've got to wait for that too, but I sure hope it makes you smile! :-D

Saturday night was a great night with Danielle. I headed up to Manch Vegas just to chill out for a casual night. But once I got there she informed me a couple friends were at 80's night at the Yard. We had no get-ups with us, so we went to Billy's for some buffalo chicken nachos and beer. And then we visited the Yard (donning side ponytails), hung out with the band, and danced the night away! It was awesome and actually, I'm so sore from dancing that much! Ouch.

Ok, I really have to get to bed. I have to be on the road at 5:30 tomorrow morning for a meeting in Connecticut at 9:00. Then it's off to the Bronx. And then back to Boston. I'm really not looking forward to this trip, however, the car rental place had no mid-size vehicles left so for the same price I'll be big pimpin' in a Toyota 4Runner! Oh yeah! Let's hope I don't spill any of the 7 cups of coffee I'll be drinking in it.

Ok, that's it for now. Have a fabulous evening and a great rest of the week! Chow!
