I'm a Free Bird!

Ok, I'll explain that later! I know I haven't written in so long, but I've been so dang busy since the show. It was a huge success! I couldn't have been happier! I mean, I still would have loved to have 100 people there, but the 40 that made their way around the top floor of the rotunda had a great time. And hoenstly, there's been so much follow-up to do that I feel like I haven't stopped working in weeks. It's good though. Here's a couple pics from the event.
This is me with one chef from Toro (I ate there 3 times last week!), and CJ who works for Island Creek Oysters.

And this is Gaetano...he owns an Italian store in the North End and is probably one of the happiest people I know!

And this is me behind bars in "Alibi". Since the hotel used to be a jail...the restaurant inside of it is called "Clink", and the lounge is called "Alibi". The afterparty made it's way to one restaurant in the hotel not associated with the hotel, and then ended in Alibi...

And here's Cat and Nicola. They stayed in Boston until Thursday to help me visit accounts and show the chefs who didn't make it to the party some of the stuff we had there. We had a great time working together and were continually successful! As we were walking (2 blocks or 2 miles???) Nicola pointed out that "Kotopoulis" in Greek means "chicken." And I pointed out that "Karen" in Greek means "pure". So I'm a pure chicken. Well....the no hormone, no anti-biotic chickens that we sell are from a company called "FreeBird." So there you go...I'll give you one guess as to what my new nickname is???? Oh yeah, the picture...

Ok, so the show is over...I've been putting together pricing and getting new accounts signed up. I did get away to New Hampshire this weekend and got to hang out with the fam. I helped my cousin Danielle (the best driver in her grocery-getter) do some painting, went for a run with Adam, had some coffee with the 'rents, and of course saw my sister and her family along with Joyce and Peggy. It was a good weekend and nice to get away from the city for a couple days. I'm still a little sore from the Wii bowling tourney Saturday night, but that was fun!

One more picture to share and it's back to work for me. From my cousin Ben's grad party two weekeneds ago. I'm not at liberty to say who the people in the picture are for security reasons, but it sure looks like a good keg-stand from my point of view!

Oh Happy Monday Everyone!

Chow,

KK
