Tim won, but I forget what he shot. He did way better though, as usual! It was really great to get some swings in again! And then we went to pick up some lobsters for dinner, which Tim prepared. It was an incredible dinner I have to say. It didn't actually start with the lobster, but with his wife, Martie's fabulous cheese dip! It's Velveeta with hamburg, black olives, and I'm not sure what else, but it's fabulous!!! I had to stop eating it to save room. Then we had our appetizer of butter-poached lobster (uh, YUM), a little warm fennel salad, beet sauce, and yes, seared Rougie foie gras. Awesome. Great job Tim!
Then I was really excited because he made a lamb stew! We were supposed to have lamb for Thanksgiving this year, BUT there's been a change of plans so now Dimitra will be having turkey. It's cool because it means we get Kristin's family for Thanksgiving this year too, but after the thought of it, I was really looking forward to lamb and was going to try to make it myself this week at some point. When?? I don't know either? So. Tim took care of that! The stew was awesome, and he served it over orzo with warm bread! The meal was delicious and I can't believe he whipped it up (making it look so easy), in just a little time. And they have a great kitchen with a huge island. So Martie and I sat and ate cheese dip, drank wine, and chatted while Tim perpared the feast. HUGE thanks to the both of them for inviting me into their home and sharing food, wine, and stories! Their kids are pretty darn cute too!
Okay, I must be on my way now. Lots to do before the bacon party begins. My apartment already reaks of bacon, but this is my life for today! Chow! KK
