13 Months!

Actually less than that....I can't believe it! I feel like when we got engaged and picked a date, I felt like we had so long to plan. I mean, well over a year at least. I can't believe that on Tuesday we hit the 13 month mark. Which isn't that big a deal to me, BUT that means that we're super close to the 1 year countdown. And I feel that the 1 year in that countdown is going to fly by! But as lackadaisical as I feel I've been about the wedding...I'm excited to be able to put more effort towards it now. I'm so excited to try on more dresses, pick out a DJ, book the party bus, see Paige and Katie at the dress shop (again!), and be that much closer to marrying the best guy I've ever met!!! In the end, that's all I want anyway...

And speaking of the wedding...I've heard from several people that they are most certain I will cry during the ceremony. I have to say - as the sap of the family - there's a good chance I will. But we're talking about a really short aisle, a no-vow ceremony, and the happiest day of my life. I've already pictured it (as most girls do, I assume) but much more clearly now. And I see myself chuckling! Especially if I hear "Here comes the bride" because I guess I never thought I'd hear that while I wore a white dress. BUT, I'm watching Boston Med right now (in my hotel room) and I see this woman going in for major heart surgery and her husband smiles and says good luck before she goes into surgery. I practically bawled before Larry went in for his deviated septum. So I guess, you all win, I'll probably cry like a baby....but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for chuckling!

And since I'm good at segwaying into another subject - "speaking of chuckling" - our first party at our new home was a huge hit! We were so happy to see everyone that made it, and we want to say thank you! Thank you to all who came and said hello, and who helped to kick off memory-making in the new diggs! We love it and we love you all!

I will also update you on the 30th Birthday goals....I successfully completed 8 free Slurpees on July 11th. At first, I wanted to see how many I could have in one day, but then decided I should set a goal. So then I thought about having 30...but then decided that would be totally crazy! So I settled on my favorite number, 8, which lands right between 7 and 11! As for Harry Potter, the final book....almost done. So glad I finally got into it! Took a while, but it is a good one. And then there's the 30 push-ups. Ugh. I'm trying. But I get to 20 and I just collapse. So I've been doing more sets and getting in about 75-83 push ups per workout. But I only have about a week and a half to add 10 more. I should be happy that I can finally just do more than 5....but I want to do 30 - fo shizzle! I will...even if it takes me longer.

Other than that - there's not much more to update on. I wish I had pictures to share, but those are on the home computer and I'm stuck in my hotel room tonight without MTV or any Red Wine. Get me out of here!!! Today's demo was slow, but no one ran into my table or choked on the food so I guess it was better than the last one....there's always tomorrow's demo though.....

I can share our Engagement Photos if you haven't seen them yet. Visit my wonderful sister's website... http://kkg.smugmug.com And then click on "photo shoots". And then click on "karen and larry". Password is "august27" - that's the day we're getting married! Look through them all and tell us what you think!

So that's it for now. I hope everyone is enjoying their Summer...Patriots officially started camp today. Woo Hoo for Football! Boo to the end of Summer.....enjoy it while it lasts!

Chow,

KK
